Well, there is only me awake. Husband is snoring in the bedroom, dogs are snoring under the desk! I often wake at 'silly o'clock', then my mind starts racing and I end up knowing there is no way I'll go back to sleep so I may as well get up. I suppose I could be doing something useful, such as the ironing, or filling in my French tax forms (gulp), but they are both such hateful and dreaded jobs....

So this is my insomniac blog. I can pour out my thoughts on France, the French and life in general!

But first, I need to learn how to blog. I've just uploaded 2 photos. Fairly painless, but what are tags? Will sort that out idc.

So there you have it. First instalment! In brief: Married, no kids. Husband Russ is retired RAF. He is a 'house husband', and I work as an estate agent in our nearby town of Lisieux, although I am currently working my notice, ready to start my new job as Head of Business Development (France), for First Rate FX, a young, small yet very dynamic foreign currency firm in Docklands.

What else? Well, we have two gorgeous black cocker spaniels, Merlin and Jarvis, whose antics will no doubt feature on here quite frequently (perhaps it should have been thier blog!), and who make up the other half of the 4 in France! And I can't forget The Girls... our 5 chickens, who were an Easter present from my god-daughter and her family. More of the Girls later too!
